Description
The Department of Marine Geosciences at the Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science, University of Miami, invites applications for an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) in sea-level science (broadly defined) to begin in August 2025.
Tasks
This includes, but is not limited to, observations, measurements, or modeling of modern sea-level change, sea-level change in the geologic record, or the impact of sea level on groundwater or coastal systems.
Applicants with a vision for developing an interdisciplinary research program that integrates multiple techniques or subject areas and that complements the existing strengths of the department are especially encouraged to apply.
Requirements
Applicants should have a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in geosciences or a related field and should have demonstrated their ability to conduct compelling independent research.
Successful applicants will be expected to establish an externally funded research program and contribute to the department’s undergraduate and graduate teaching missions.
