About The Position
Job Title : Physical Therapist - Inpatient Rehabilitation Job Specialty : PT Inpatient Rehab Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day, 5x8-Hour (08 : 00 - 16 : 30), with start time as early as 7 : 00 AM;
1 Saturday per month Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : - Experience with Adult Rehab Facility, CVA Rehab, Traumatic Brain Injury- Experience with Adaptive Equipment, Pre-Discharge Planning, Electrical Stimulation, Lifting and Transfer, Patient / Family Education, Safety and Injury Prevention- Experience with Adult and Pediatric Adaptive Equipment Assessment, Cognitive Assessment, and Plan of Care- Must have excellent communication skills- One year of PT Inpatient Rehabilitation experience preferred License : PT Licensure with Reciprocity in the state required prior to submission Certifications : BLS for the Healthcare Provider CPR Must-Have : Must place a high value on quality of care- Required flu vaccine during flu season (Oct 1st - Mar 31st)- COVID-19 vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions only)- Smoke / Nicotine-free facility Job Description : Provide high-quality inpatient rehabilitation therapy services.
- Utilize adaptive equipment and techniques for adult and pediatric care.- Engage in pre-discharge planning and cognitive assessments.
- Educate patients and families on safety, injury prevention, and plan of care.- Must be proficient in the use of electrical stimulation and lifting / transfer techniques.
- Participate in a rotation to cover some holidays.- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.- Complete up to 7 hours of required modules during orientation.
- Scrubs requirement : Grey top, navy bottom or vice versa.Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and maintain professional licensure and certifications throughout employment.
