Marquette University School of Dentistry (MUSoD) seeks qualified candidates for a full-time faculty position in pediatric dentistry at the school’s main campus in Milwaukee.
As Wisconsin’s only dental school, MUSoD is answering the call to meet workforce needs, increase access to oral health care for underserved patients, and advance dental education in Wisconsin.
MUSoD serves the community on its main campus in Milwaukee and in outreach clinics across the State of Wisconsin.
Duties and Responsibilities General (Clinical and Tenure Track) Conduct teaching, scholarship, service, and patient care in support of the mission and goals of Marquette University School of Dentistry.
Promote an atmosphere of respect, collegiality, commitment to diversity and a humanistic learning environment.
Teaching (Clinical and Tenure Track) Supervise pre-doctoral dental students in preclinical and clinical settings in our pediatric dentistry clinic.
Treat children under general anesthesia at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. In addition, effectively carry out lecture, seminar, preclinical and clinical assignments as required.
Service (Clinical & Tenure Track) Participate in committees, faculty governance, professional societies and associations, and community events.
Scholarship (Tenure Track) Establish and maintain scholarly and / or research activity in area of expertise, at level consistent with scheduled annual workload.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Qualified applicants must have :
DMD / DDS degree from a US or Canadian dental school recognized by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation or a comparable international degree.
Completed a Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program accredited by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation and be Board eligible or Board certified, or completed a comparable international graduate program.
A current, valid license to practice dentistry in the State of Wisconsin or be eligible and obtain a regular dental license or faculty license in the State of Wisconsin by date of hire.
Current CPR certification. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Minor interceptive orthodontic knowledge / experience.
