About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty : Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse (ICU), Med-Surg Adult Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : 7 PM - 7 AM, Friday, Saturday, Sunday Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred License : Current registration and licensure as an RN.
Must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing. Certifications : - Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS (New employees must certify within three months of hire date) - Current ACLS certification (New employees should obtain per guidelines) Must-Have : - Graduate of an accredited RN program;
BSN preferred - Ability to read and communicate effectively in English - High degree of empathetic listening skills, tact, and kindness toward others - Ability to communicate well verbally and work effectively as a team member - Basic computer knowledge - Technical and critical thinking skills related to sound nursing judgment - Knowledge of nursing practices related to acute care Job Description : - Collaborate with the healthcare team using evidence-based practice to ensure safe and optimal patient outcomes.
- Promote continuity of care by communicating effectively with the interdisciplinary team and family, as appropriate. - Direct the work of support staff in providing care.
- Perform general nursing duties using critical thinking skills with minimal supervision. - Work with age-specific populations according to the setting, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Additional Information : - Position urgency is rapid response crisis. - This role requires holiday coverage. - Electronic Medical Record (EMR) used : Meditech.
