Our client is hiring a Network Engineer to administer and maintain their network infrastructure and serve as a technical resource on network / security issues.
This is a long-term contract opportunity located onsite in Plano, TX.

Responsibilities :
- Manage network design upgrades and hardware reconfigurations.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and support security and network-related incidents.
- Implement and support network / security devices including firewalls.
- Adhere to industry-accepted network / security best practices.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, equivalent work experience may be considered.
- 3+ years of IT network experience in infrastructure / network environments performing network engineering (hardware and / or software), design, planning, implementation, and support.
- Networking, network design, and network security experience.
- Network Engineering experience installing, maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting network equipment including Cisco routers and switches.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and effective troubleshooting methods.
- Must have routing and switching knowledge and firewall, VPN, and Wireless experience.
