Maintenance Mechanic

3rd Shift : 10 : 00pm 6 : 30am, some weekend rotation required

2nd Shift : 2 : 00pm 10 : 30pm,some weekend rotation required

Hourly Rate : $34.15 / hr + $0.75 3rd shift differential, or $1 2nd shift differential, and excellent benefits!

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join a dynamic manufacturing team in Syracuse, NY. Your primary role will be to optimize production processes, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot a variety of machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Install, maintain, and repair air compressors, air circulation systems, cooling / heating units, and lighting.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems, production equipment, and facilities.
• Troubleshoot, repair, install, move, and dismantle machinery and auxiliary equipment.
• Inspect job sites and equipment, analyze blueprints, and recommend support equipment.
• Fabricate sheet metal and structural units, including guarding, steps, stairs, conveyors, elevators, and platforms.
• Operate, adjust, and repair production equipment to meet customer specifications.
• Disassemble, overhaul, and rebuild production equipment.
• Inspect in-process materials and finished products.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Use industrial shop and millwright equipment effectively and fabricate precision parts.
• Understand and use basic test equipment such as volt / ohm meters and micrometers.
• Communicate effectively with peers and supervisors and work independently without direct supervision.

Requirements :

• High school education or equivalent with 4+ years of related experience.
• Knowledge of equipment, mechanical devices, transmission systems, AC / DC motors, wiring diagrams, computers, and digital devices.
• Ability to train personnel and use basic hand and power tools.
• Proficiency with electronic test equipment.
• Strong aptitude for mechanics and basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to operate a computer and work in multiple departments.
