Seeking Qualified and Compassionate Anesthesiologists for Locum Tenens Roles

Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for patient care? We have an exciting locum tenens opportunity for two General Anesthesiologists to join our team in a growing community near Caroleen, NC.

This temporary opportunity offers a flexible start date as soon as possible (ASAP) and will continue until we can fill the positions permanently.

Responsibilities :

• Deliver safe and effective anesthesia care for a variety of surgical procedures in a collaborative care team model.
• Provide pre-operative consultations, assessments, and plan anesthesia care for assigned patients.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patients throughout surgery and adjust anesthesia plans as needed.
• Oversee and support the work of CRNAs within the established care team model.
• May choose to personally manage assigned surgical cases if desired.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Cerner and AIMS electronic medical record systems.

Qualifications :

• Active and unrestricted North Carolina (NC) medical license.
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Anesthesiology is required.
• Experience in a hospital setting providing general anesthesia care is preferred, but new graduates will be considered.
• Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and technical expertise in anesthesia administration.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team environment.
• Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care.

Schedule :

• The typical schedule consists of a 7-days-on / 7-days-off rotation with 7 am to 5 pm shifts followed by call coverage from 5 pm to 7 am.
• You will rotate this schedule with one other physician.

Support Staff :

You will be collaborating with an average of 2-3 CRNAs Monday through Friday.

Call Coverage :

Historically, call coverage has required an average of 72 combined hours per month between the two locum tenens physicians.
