Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking for an experienced Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic for our client located in Clackamas, who specializes in designing, manufacturing, certifying and selling products for commercial, government and military markets throughout the world.
This position will be joining the established team of maintenance mechanics and helpers to care for the manufacturing facility and equipment.
The work performed will include installing, maintaining, modifying, and repairing manufacturing equipment. The equipment includes metal die casing machines, plastic molding machines, CNC machines, HVAC, and more.
Maintenance Mechanic Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
- Perform journeyman level work in at least one specialty area of the skilled crafts trade such as electrical, fabrication, machining, hydraulics / pneumatics, HVAC, or production machinery repair.
- Maintain, adjust, troubleshoot, repair, and install mechanical, electrical, hydraulic / pneumatic, HVAC, and all other equipment in the facility
- Install, maintain, adjust, and repair production fixtures
- Wire and maintain electrical systems of plastic molds
- Perform safety inspection of fire sprinkler system
- Perform building remodeling and maintain and repair building
- Perform safety checks of compressed air system and gas heating system
- Operates and repairs a variety of forklifts
- Set up and operate the full range of shop equipment and machines of each trade, working to close tolerances, and uses appropriate standard and specialized measuring and testing instruments
- Assist other maintenance personnel
- Attends Quality Manual Standards Training and applies Quality Standards accordingly
- Sweep and clean up work area and equipment
Maintenance Mechanic Desired Knowledge, Skill, Abilities and Experience :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years journeyman maintenance experience, including industrial experience in electrical maintenance and repair, or the equivalent, required
- Oregon Limited Maintenance Electrical License, or greater, preferred
- EPA Universal Technician Certification (refrigeration) preferred
- Knowledge of PLC systems and ability to program PLCs,
- Knowledge of CNC systems
- Ability to obtain a Forklift License and an aerial work platform (scissor / boom) license
- Physical ability to bend, lift, climb, stoop, kneel, or crawl throughout the work shift

- 7 : 00am - 3 : 30pm
- $35.37 / hr to start (increases can be made depending on licenses, certifications and experience)
