The responsibilities for the Assessment and Referral Clinician include the following :
- Receive referral calls, obtain minimal demographic information, and refer the call to the appropriate source or schedule an assessment.
- Process all requests for information and external referrals.
- Complete pre-certifications as needed.
- Assist in arranging admission of patients and communicating the admission to the other needed departments including business office, medical staff, and nursing.
- Determine the needed Releases of Information and process them accordingly, per policy. Assist in obtaining needed records and information.
- Assess, diagnosing and treatment a variety of patient populations.
