A niche-market and reputable Insurance firm that specializes in insuring various institutions is looking to hire an in-house Litigation Counsel to join their fully remote national team that assists with the defense of property, casualty, and insurance coverage litigation in California.

Job Description : As an Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney, you will handle a diverse caseload of insurance defense matters, representing clients in litigation involving insurance claims.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Conducting legal research and drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests / responses, and other legal documents.
- Providing legal counsel and representation in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Evaluating cases and providing strategic advice to clients on litigation and settlement options.
- Working with legal support staff on case-related tasks.
- Building strong relationships with clients, insurance carriers, and other stakeholders.
Requirements :
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the California state bar and in good standing.
- 5+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Proven ability to manage a caseload effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Must be located in California
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience handling complex insurance defense cases.
- Trial experience is a plus.
