Your Role
The Blue Shield of California Promise Health Plan Office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is a cross functional and cross sectoral team leading clinical strategy development and implementation of the plan’s medical policies, including strategy for population health management to support the health and wellbeing of the nonprofit managed care plan’s more than , Medi-Cal members in Los Angeles and San Diego Counties.
The Office of the CMO created a Maternal & Infant Health Equity program to examine and address care delivery of birthing members enrolled in Medi-Cal to improve birth outcomes centered in equity.
The Program Manager, Senior of Maternal & Infant Health Equity, will report to the Sr. Manager, Maternal & Infant Health Equity.
In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and using data to drive the maternal & infant health equity strategy to achieve improvement of the quality and health equity goals while striving to reduce racial and ethnic disparities in maternity care for the Medi-Cal birthing population.
Your Work
In this role, you will :
- Operate at a strategic business level to ensure alignment and integration across maternal & infant health equity projects / programs, from initiation through delivery, in support of business unit process and administrative efficiency
- Participate cross-functionally in business planning to support business unit strategy exercising independent judgement in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results
- Partner across business areas to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements to provide the most equitable care and services offered in the market
- Identify and utilize internal and external data sources to analyze maternal & infant health disparities and inform decision-making
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to build prioritization processes and identify old and emerging trends
- Connect initiatives and partners to align, reduce inefficiencies and level up impact inside and outside the business
- Utilize continuous quality improvement to evaluate the effectiveness of maternal & infant health equity programs and initiatives, making data-driven adjustments as needed
- Co-develop metrics and reporting systems to track progress and outcomes of maternal & infant health equity initiatives
- Partner across the enterprise in conceptualizing, planning, and implementing multiple and extremely complex projects / programs spanning across business areas
- Perform other duties aligned with project management as deemed necessary to advance maternal & infant health equity strategy to improve member birth outcomes
