About The Position
Weekly Pay Range - $3066 To $3406 Job Title : Rad Tech Job Specialty : Cardiovascular Invasive Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day Shift, 6 : 30 AM - 5 PM, 4x10 Hour Shifts Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum three (3) years of applicable experience License : IEMA License in Rad Technology Certifications : BLS (American Heart Association)- ACLS (American Heart Association)- ARRT Registration in Radiology Must-Have : Advanced EKG interpretation skills- Knowledge of hemodynamic concepts and cardiac anatomy- Competency in moderate sedation administration- Proficiency in sterile techniques- Knowledge of radiation safety Job Description : Assist cardiologists with invasive coronary, vascular, and electrophysiologic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Set up and operate a variety of electrical and imaging equipment.- Demonstrate excellent judgment, problem-solving skills, and the ability to organize and prioritize.
- Advocate for patient needs, ensuring focused and compassionate care.- Interpret hemodynamic and procedural results, and manage procedural supplies and equipment.
- Operate both monophasic and biphasic defibrillators.- Educate and communicate effectively with patients to alleviate anxiety during procedures.
- Assist with anesthesia needs for sedated patients.- Collaborate with research coordinators in laboratory-based research.
- Train and mentor team members in best practices and procedural techniques.- Maintain professional interaction with vendors for equipment and supply use.
- Update skills as equipment and techniques evolve.- Ensure safety and functionality of equipment through regular checks and reporting.
- Manage digital archives for safe storage of patient images and reports.- Provide post-procedural care, report significant observations, and document care provided.
- Maintain knowledge of aseptic techniques, including preparing instruments and sterile fields.- Accurately interpret EKG and report any irregularities.
This role requires a high level of multitasking and communication skills to ensure patient safety and satisfaction during procedures.
