Description : *Yale University is looking to bring on a resource in the capacity of Organization Change Management for one of their largest projects currently underway, the Next Generation Network (NGN) Project.
This role is highly functional and requires someone with excellent communication skills as well as excellent organization skills.
The position is very focused on accomplishing specific goals and the framework for this individual is already in place. They are looking for Generalist / Specialist on the team that will work with the highest level stakeholders from each territory or building to create a high level strategy / plan for how this area will be impacted by the project.
This OCM generalist will be the nucleus along side other stakeholders and technical resources to track, document, and drive the change needed all while following an already in place process which will help tie this area back into the master plan the project is trying to accomplish.
This technology upgrade is a massive undertaking across campus so it is key critical all these smaller action items are being taken into consideration so there is overall continuity to the bigger project.
Someone who would be successful in this position would have prior experience with stakeholder analysis, business questionnaires', business surveys, technology support- such as supporting managers and their technology deployment schedule.
This will entail building out contact awareness plans, identify the right working audience and push them to the technical counterparts.
Building communication plans, using PM tools for tracking purposes or Microsoft Excel. It is purely OCM which comes with engagement awareness and having a tactful approach when bringing groups together, holding them accountable, asking the right questions, enhancing overall communication and following a strict template built out by senior leadership to document each area they are assigned to. This OCM consultant will :
- Apply established methodology to support stakeholders through adoption of changes
- Support the design, development, delivery, and management of communications
- Establish a strong working relationship with all internal stakeholders and the project team
- Actively participate in the development and refinement of OCM methods, tools, and capabilities
- Collaborate with the Project Management team to create deliverables that support all areas of the program
- Assist other members of the OCM (Organizational Change Management) team as needed, providing support to their workflows, and adapting to evolving project needs
- Proactively identify and solve problems that may arise during the migration process, demonstrating adaptability and quick response time
- Maintain frequent communication with stakeholders, project team members, leadership, and internal OCM team to ensure alignment and successful project execution
- Develop a wide range of resources for stakeholders, including communications, user guides, presentations, meeting minutes, handouts, and articles
- Identify risks, anticipate points of resistance, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address those concernsAdditional Job Details : This position provides communication and change management expertise to conduct stakeholder analysis, support program communication development and delivery and drive department readiness activities for information technology initiatives at Yale University.
This individual will be responsible to conduct stakeholder analysis, develop and drive OCM engagement and awareness plans for the projects over which Information Technologies has responsibility.
These projects will have university-wide impact.S / he understands project impacts and leadership stakeholder needs to deliver effective program awareness communications and engagements for information technology initiatives.

- A Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Graphic design experience preferred

- Knowledge of OCM methodologies and toolsSkills :
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools, with expertise in PowerPoint
- Experience with Adobe tools (Express, InDesign, etc)
- Previous IT project experience, particularly in a higher education environment, is beneficial

- High level of judgment and diplomacyBachelor’s degree and at least five years of diverse university, business and change management or communication experience involving technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
