Hiring Full-Time Special Education Teachers Near Georgetown KY
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Special Education Teacher to work with students with LBD and EBD. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education, a commitment to individualized instruction, and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with LBD and EBD.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Provide direct instruction in academic, social, and emotional skills.
- Monitor and assess students' progress regularly, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, school counselors, and other professionals to support students' overall development and integration.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss students' progress and address any concerns.
- Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal, state, and school regulations.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid Kentucky teaching certification in Special Education (LBD / EBD).
- Experience working with students with learning and behavioral challenges.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to create and maintain a supportive and effective learning environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
