JOB DESCRIPTION / MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

The DFPS Information Resource Management (IT Division)seeks Workers to perform in a Software Engineer role to assist inplanning and coordinating continued modernization developmentactivities for the DFPS complex casework management system (IMPACT)PEIRS SSCC Child Placement Portal Incentives and Remedies CommunityBased Care and other operational projects.

The Workers will workwith technical teams comprising of technical team leads developersuser interface / user experience engineers and technical / functionaltesting analysts.

The Workers will facilitate meetings elicitproject details and document requirements for development projectsfocused on continuing modernization activities of existing DFPSEnterprise Java web applications.

The Workers will also work inconcert with various technical leads (e.g. PMO CTO and SystemsDevelopment Resources) to prioritize assigned work and developrecommendations options and alternatives as required.

The Software Engineer 2 (JavaDeveloper) is responsible for the modernization of existing DFPSsEnterprise web applications following established standards qualityattributes and design specifications.

The Workers will be workingon teams consisting of Developers UX engineers Business Analystsand Project Manager. This role is responsible for thefollowing :

Define and develop lowlevel designdocuments Contribute to and follow software engineering bestpractices to create robust and standardized solutions

Work closely with Business Analysis and ProjectManagement in executing the assigned development work

Participate in design and development activities forexisting and new components

Perform full stackdevelopment including Database Services Web Applications andFrontend development by utilizing various versions of programminglanguages and frameworks

Write scalable andhigh available code by following the design principles and softwareengineering best practices

Perform code reviewsunit testing integration testing test case automation continuousintegration and continuous deployment

Identifyinvestigate and resolve production problems in a timely mannerbased on the priority
