We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at our skilled nursing facility (SNF) in Pittsburgh, PA.
As a CNA, you will provide essential direct patient care to residents, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care in a safe and comfortable environment.
Responsibilities :
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding, while promoting their independence and dignity.
Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, and respiration, to ensure the well-being of residents.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses and doctors, to develop and implement resident care plans and maintain accurate documentation.
Respond promptly and appropriately to residents’ needs and report any changes in their condition to the nursing staff.
Assist with transferring and positioning residents, utilizing proper body mechanics to prevent injury to both residents and yourself.
Assist in transporting residents to appointments, activities, and meals, as necessary.
Provide emotional support to residents and their families, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in residents’ rooms and common areas, ensuring a safe and homely environment.
Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures, ensuring the highest standards of care and ethics.
Requirements :
Valid CNA certification in the state of Pennsylvania
Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is preferred
Knowledge of basic medical terminology and infection control principles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
