Top manufacturer in central, IL area looking for a Manufacturing Engineer. Prefered to have strong CNC and / or foundry experience machining experience.
please note this role is about 30-45 minutes east of Springfield, IL.
Looking for experience with :
- CNC machining
- Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement
- Capital expenditures (CapEx) and justification
- Product Launch / PPAP’s
- Providing Creo & Auto CAD, SolidWorks working models / drawings according to requirements and completed on schedule
This role will :
- Implement new technology as part of capital projects and ensuring those projects are completed on-time, within budget, and meet the intent of the project plans.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials;
as well as conferring with vendors and soliciting observations from plant operators.
- Work within the operational team supporting day to day problems and improvements.
- Be a key contributor and team member of New Product Development (NPD) activities; leading the manufacturing planning and execution of capital equipment, tooling, and processes.
Position Requirements :
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in manufacturing environment involving high speed machining operations.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing and other continuous improvement tools.
