- Prepare operating rooms for surgery by arranging equipment and ensuring the integrity of surgical instruments.- Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon during procedures, ensuring clear communication and efficiency.- Handle specimens taken for laboratory analysis and ensure their proper labeling and dispatch.
- Inventory surgical instruments and manage sterilization after procedures.- Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Stay current with the latest surgical technologies and techniques to provide optimal patient care.- Adhere to safety standards and hospital policies during all procedures.
This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work well in high-pressure environments.
