Preventive maintenance (PM) is the regular and routine maintenance of equipment and assets in order to keep them running and prevent any costly unplanned downtime from unexpected equipment failure

Job Description Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Safely operate any machinery, tools or equipment used.

Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times; bump caps, hair / beard net, safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes

Perform simple machine duties and responsibilities.

Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.

Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.

Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.

Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Conditions of Employment

Must be able to comply with the following conditions of employment :

Climate Ranging from 70 100 degrees F

No Jewelry, including facial piercings, wedding rings, watches, etc

No cellphones on production floor, personal items will be kept in provided lockers onsite

No pocket knives or firearms on company grounds

Must wear the specified PPE at all times : bump caps, hair / beard net, safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes

Position may require working in different buildings at any given time

Abide by all Safety, GMP, and quality regulations

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Employee could be exposed to seasonal weather conditions if required to go outdoors.

Proper use of PPE is required at all times.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be regularly required to :

Remain stationary extended periods of time

Move around production floor

Communicate with subordinates

Position self to ground level as needed

Move, adjust, and position anywhere from 10 to 45 lbs

Identify, recognize and assess documents, machinery and more.

Preferred Experience / Education

1+ years preventative maintenance experience
