Senior Infrastructure IAC Engineer (Onsite)

Job Summary

You will be supporting the development, and maintenance of our modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solution in our environment.

These environments, a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware, provide the enterprise hybrid-cloud backbone for product development and testing for a large Project producing a critical, strategic national asset.

This will include a mixture of hands-on keyboard engineering work as well as documentation and baseline control.

The Infrastructure DevOps / IaC Engineer will be well versed in the use of tools such as Ansible and Terraform to implement and support the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solution for our programs.

NOTE : This position will be onsite in Richardson TX.

Responsibilities to Anticipate :

You will leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to assist with deployment, implementation, modernization, and support of IaC solutions.

You will support software tool customization and automation including deployment of templates, dashboards, and scripts to support program needs utilizing Ansible Playbooks.

You will assist with integration of the selected platform provisioning tool such as Terraform / VMWare.

You will assist with design / architecture / development and support of build / test pipeline and integration, optimizing for performance and scalability across on premise computing environments.

You will assist engineers with specialized tool usage and issues, leveraging standards and best practices towards the solution.

Basic Requirements :

A current TS / SCI with a CI Poly Security Clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Typically requires BS / BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and 5+ years of related work experience.

Experience with Ansible automation frameworks.

Experience with Linux System Administration (E.g. RHEL 6.0+).

Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (E.g. scrum, SAFe).

Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CICD Pipelines tools (E.g. Jira / Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bit Bucket, Jenkins, Artifactory).

Experience with code repository systems (E.g. ClearCase, Bit Bucket).

Preferred Requirements :

Implementing Scaled Agile Frameworks.

Container development and orchestration (E.g. Kubernetes / Docker).

VM provisioning (E.g. VMWare / Vsphere).

Experience with programming languages (E.g. Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go).

Experience with scanning tools (E.g. Nessus, Fortify).

General working knowledge of networks, storage, and virtualization.

Background in COTS / FOSS product installation, configuration, and integration.

Current CompTIA Security+ or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid : Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote : Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
