Job Title : Power / Electrical Engineer II

Bradleys is currently searching for an Electrical Engineer II to join our highly skilled team. As an Electrical Engineer II , you will be responsible for the set up and operation of the Dynamometer based Testing Equipment to perform IEEE Method 112 and 115 Tests for customers as well as other Load and No-Load Testing Requirements and Specifications to verify and evaluate equipment windings and associated components.
Also provide support to the Facility & Maintenance and Production Teams as needed. Review and stay abreast of current Electrical Engineering Testing and Repair Specifications and update our internal procedures accordingly as related to the electric motor and generator repair industry.
Job Responsibilities
- Work together and collaborate with other engineers and professionals within our Company, industry and with various clients, so being able to communicate easily and clearly to share information and resources is helpful.
- Lead the Load Test Team to set-up and Test Customer Equipment.
- Lead, organize and manage various projects
- Lead Maintenance, operation and repair of power equipment, including DC Generators, DC Drives, Transformers, Capacitor Bank, and other electrical equipment and systems.
- Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of the industrial tools and equipment used for power production and Load Testing of Equipment
- Monitor the systems to make sure they're functioning properly and implement changes and upgrades when needed.
- Test and Check components such as motors and drives to verify their functioning at optimum capacity, and not overloaded.
- Run Simulations on Load Tests and systems to verify systems are within specifications
- Check for corrosion or harmful material deposits while monitoring the measurement equipment, recorders and meters for any possible mechanical issues
- Track and analyze Power Recorder data due to power events
- Report any issues, observations and actions in CMMS to keep records and monitor improvements.
- Forecast future needs in the facility and work with Facility Team to plan necessary solutions.
- Willingness and ability to perform physical labor
- Research new technology and analyze industrial testing and repair standards, so analytical research skills can be useful qualities.
- Work deliberately and safely.
- Ensure the customer’s given deadlines are met. Coordination with team, acting proactively and ensuring timely communication with customers, as needed.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Good knowledge & understanding of industrial standards and guidelines, like IEEE, EASA & NEMA are preferred. Ability to use MatLab, MS Office apps.
- Knowledgeable in electrical safety practices in low and high voltage equipment & testing. Creating SOPs or Forms, as needed.
Minimum
B.S. in Electrical Engineering plus 5 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering. Must include working with SCADA, HMI, SOLIDWORKS and Wonderware.
Preferred Qualifications
Electric Motor and / or Generator design, repair or Testing experience is preferred.
