The ideal candidate has experience in a quality-driven aerospace manufacturing environment with quality inspection, and testing.
You have a strong attention to detail and have excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
What you will do : Responsible for ensuring that all processes and or tooling used to create products or services are sufficient to meet the established standards of quality including reliability, usability, and performance.
- Create, revise and release quality engineering / Inspection methods, technical procedures, work instructions, sampling procedures, and any policies or directions for recording and reporting quality data.
- Review the implementation and efficiency of all quality inspection systems.
- Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality.
- Review and release any routers needed for production.
- Review and release any FAIRs, data cards, concessions, or other customer requirement.
- Investigate and resolve in a timely fashion any customer complaints / returns (RMAs) or internal complaints / rejections (MDRs) or any other non conformance issues.
- Assist with any calibration requirements including maintenance of the gage calibration area and the distribution on any and all gages.
- Collect and compile statistical quality data and prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality assurance activities.
i.e. MDRs, RMAs, scrap, COPQ)
- Using Lean tools (i.e. FMEA, Control Plans, Gage R&R, SPC), analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the inspection system and then develop, recommend, implement and monitor corrective and preventive actions for these improvements.
- Support on site audits (AS, ISO, NADCAP) conducted by external providers / Customers.
- Evaluate any audit (Internal or external) findings and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Prioritize, organize, and oversee any and all technical documentation.
- Assist with the training of any quality personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA and inspection.
- Experience with implementation and oversee a corrective action program.
- Certifications in Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, and Six Sigma are a plus.
- Strong computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office and databases required.
- Experience with data collection, management and organizing, judgment, decision making, customer service orientation, and teamwork.
