Level III NICU

Equipment utilized in the unit / dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc

EPIC EMR, Pyxis

Required skills and minimum years of experience.

Minimum 3 years Level III NICU. Charge experience preferred.

Specific licensures and certifications / registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)

BLS, NRP

Shift or schedule requirements.

12 hour night shift with every other weekend

Floating to other units / departments. (If so, to which units / departments?)

Float to peds preferred

Bed size / number of rooms for this unit / dept.

12 rooms, capacity for 24 infants

Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)

1-4 patients depending on acuity

Dress Code : Nurse’s own scrubs

Nurse’s own scrubs

Travel RN typically receives 3 12 hour shifts of orientation after general hospital orientation 12 hours
