Who You AreAs a part-time instructor in the Engineering Department you provide instruction in transfer levels. Course assignments will be made based on experience.

You work individually, as well as in collaboration with colleagues, to develop innovative curriculum which meets the needs of our diverse population of students.

Student retention and success is your top priority. You will utilize technology and effective teaching strategies to develop students' critical thinking skills.

Examples of engineering courses include the following : EGG 1000 : Introduction to EngineeringEGG 1040 : Engineering ProjectsEGG 1060 : Introduction to Engineering Computing EGG 1060 (Introduction to Engineering Computing) is taught in MATLAB and C++.

Introductory-level knowledge of these languages is preferred for applicants interested in teaching this class. You may be asked to teach at different times, locations and modalities to meet the needs of the College.

Please note : this is an on-campus position. You need to be a Colorado resident on your first day of employment. SELECTION PROCESS : All qualified candidates will remain in a talent pool for future consideration.

Qualifications

Qualifications (EGG 1000, 1040) REQUIRED EDUCATION / TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE : Master's degree in one of the related degrees listed below.

ORMaster's degree in any field, plus 18 graduate credits in one of the related degrees listed below. Related Degrees : Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics ORTested Experience : Bachelor's in Engineering, Physics, or Applied Mathematics with Professional Engineer (PE) license and a minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering research or engineering industry.

Or a Bachelor's in Engineering, Physics, or Applied Math with a minimum of 10 years' experience in engineering research or engineering industry.

Qualifications (EGG 1060) REQUIRED EDUCATION / TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE : Master's degree in one of the related degrees listed below.

ORMaster's degree in any field, plus 18 graduate credits in one of the related degrees listed below. Related Degrees : Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics ORTested Experience : Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Applied Mathematics with a minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering research or engineering industry using MATLAB, or a similar programming language.

Part-Time InstructorsPart-Time Instructors are eligible for sick leave. You will earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked.

PERA is the 21st largest public pension plan in the United States and is a substitute for Social Security; FRCC employees do not contribute to Social Security.

PERA eligible employees are required to contribute a fixed percentage of their salary to the pension. Student employees are not eligible to participate in PERA.

FRCC and the State of Colorado also offer three tax-deferred supplemental investment plans, including 401(k), 403(b) and 457 plans.
