For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom.

Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Riverside, RI on a full-time basis for the school year.

This unique position will involve working in a fast-paced behavioral health facility, providing academic support to child and adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed.

Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports.

Most of our class sizes range from 8 to 15 school-age patients at any one time.

Full-time position teaching pediatric and adolescent grades committed to a 40 hours a week from 7 : 30am-4pm or 8am-4 : 30pm daily, Mon.

Qualifications

  • B.A / B.S. degree from an accredited institution
  • RI teaching license, Special Education preferred
  • Special Education or experience working with students with Autism
  • Comfortable working with K-12 students
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs
  • Reliable Transportation
