Responsibilities

Assist in the provision of behavioral health services and safety support for patients.

  • Collect, record, and report data on client progress making specific instructional changes according to established guidelines and complete informal evaluations as required.
  • Provide patient assistance including deescalating volatile situations and alert team members to any areas of concern.
  • Assist with the search, inventory, storage, and return of patient property.
  • May serve as a member of the crisis response team and participate in situational debriefs as required.
  • May assist in the planning and implementation of individualized behavior support plans.

In addition, provides a one-on-one relationship with patients, encourages, motivates, and supports patients who are seeking to establish or strengthen his or her recovery.

Ability to talk about lived recovery experience as a personal narrative in the service of assisting others.

With training) Ability to obtain clinical information, enter patient responses into structured assessment forms digitally, proofread work product, name files using naming convention, and securely submit files to several partnering agencies.

  • Provides Brief Interventions with patients using the evidence-based model consistently.
  • Motivates and persuades patients to participate in a six-month follow up enrollment program. Enters patient responses into enrollment form and obtains signatures for both consenting and declining patients.
  • Ability to document patient case details and informational notes to work collaboratively with the program team.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration :

Preferred Credential(s) :

BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education :

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note : Required professional licensure / certification can be used in lieu of education or experience,

if applicable.

Additional Preferences

NOTE : To be successful in this role, we prefer that candidates have a personal life experience that includes having previously suffered from a mental health disorder and / or dual disorders of mental health and addiction disorder, received successful treatment, and have maintained stable recovery for a reasonable period of time
