US Medical Director - Acute Care - CVRM

Introduction to role :

Are you a board-certified healthcare professional with a history of clinical practice and significant experience in the cardiovascular, renal and / or metabolic disease therapeutic areas?

Do you have knowledge of the actions of regulatory bodies, particularly the FDA, and experience in clinical trials? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

As a Medical Director at AstraZeneca, you will be a member of the Core Medical Team (CMT), accountable for the development and execution of the Brand Medical Plans.

This role requires strong business aptitude and / or experience, including the proven ability to translate and align commercial and scientific goals and objectives.

Accountabilities :

As a Medical Director, you will provide medical input into brand strategy as a core member of the CMT. You will collaborate with commercial teams and alliance partners to develop overall brand strategy.

You will also play an integral role in the planning and participation of national and regional medical advisory boards, provide clinical education and training for internal stakeholders, and ensure compliance with all AZ corporate policies.

Essential Skills / Experience :

Doctoral level degree (MD, PhD, PharmD)

Significant experience in management of Cardiovascular, Critical Care / Neurocritical care, Neurology & Emergency Medicine

Proven ability to proactively engage internal and external leaders

Strong business aptitude and / or experience

Desirable Skills / Experience :

Experience in implementation science and RWE

Experience developing patient pathways in healthcare systems

Knowledge of FDA regulations
