Systems Integration Engineer Intern

The Americold Summer Internship Experience is a 12-week, full time, paid internship that takes place over the summer term in various locations throughout the country.

The internship opportunity will afford our interns to better understand of the supply chain industry, work on challenging and industry-specific projects, plus the ability to collaborate with organizational leaders, colleagues, and peers.

What You'll Do : Working within our automated warehouse during the commissioning phase through the ramp up phase :

• Flow, process and throughput analysis
• Analysis of faults and system errors, resulting in downtime and availability reports
• Overall Equipment Effectiveness research
• Creating dashboards
• Participate in education and training of operations to run the facility efficiently
• Working with vendors, customers, and operations team to test the systems to validate they meet vendor system specifications What Experience You Need :
• Currently a rising junior, senior or graduate student enrolled at an accredited college / university for an undergraduate in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Data Analysis, or a related field of study
• Power BI, Python, SQL, database queries, Jira experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact comfortably at all levels of the organization including with senior level leaders
• Detailed oriented, multi-tasking, and analytical problem-solving skills What could set you apart :

• Presentation and reporting skills Physical Requirements
• May be required to tolerate working environment with inside controlled temperatures of -15 degrees Fahrenheit and outside ambient temperatures (including heat, cold and precipitation)
• Must tolerate heights up to 35 ft. and be able to access elevated platforms and catwalks
• Must be able to climb ladders and stairs
• Frequently required to stand; walk; push; pull; reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; and crouch
• Must frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to use hand and power tools
• Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, and / or manipulate parts & tools
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception.

Either naturally or with the aid of eye glasses

• Able to work nights and weekends
