Moxie is hiring Account Managers to help lead teams in the creation and execution of PR strategies, while serving as one of the main point of contact for clients.
Successful candidates will have 5+ years of strong, demonstrable media relations experience with consumer or tech clients in an agency environment, with 2+ years in a team management capacity.
Moxie has offices in Los Angeles (Culver City) and New York City (Flatiron District, Manhattan), where team members work in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee PR strategy development, from messaging to media outreach to conferences and awards, for 5 - 6 clients simultaneously
- Lead and manage teams of 4 - 7 people from both tactical and developmental standpoints, driving all work forward
- Serve as main daily contact, managing client relationships and leading weekly calls / meetings
- Develop big-picture story ideas with teams, while inspiring idea generation
- Maintain and leverage key media relationships, owning specific outlets and contacts
- Manage client crisis recommendations, messaging and communications
- Review documents, including press releases, pitches, and conference / award submissions
- Media train clients and staff journalist interviews
- Serve as a company leader, promoting Moxie’s values by instilling confidence across teams, while motivating and inspiring colleagues to reach their full potential
- Participate in new business calls and pitches
Requirements :
- 5+ years of public relations agency experience with consumer or tech clients, including 2+ years of managing multiple teams and clients simultaneously
- Strong network of active media relationships with consumer, business and / or tech media
- Genuine interest in development and mentorship of junior team members
- Proactivity, creativity and a solution-oriented mindset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, stay organized and deliver media results
