job_description.job_card.job_descriptionPlace catheters Prepare medications, animals, and equipment for anesthesia Surgical Support : Set up and monitoring equipment setup Support the surgical team during procedures Recovery Care : Communicate recovery progress to the veterinary team Sanitation & Organization : Maintain treatment / surgical areas, and follow strict infection control protocols Record controlled medications Client Communication Preparing a detailed discharge report Compassion and patience with pets, especially those in recovery or under stress. Strong teamwork and communication skills to support the veterinary and technician staff. Attention to detail and ability to follow medical protocols precisely. Strong proficiency in handling animals and assisting with medical procedures. Prior experience in a veterinary setting or animal care preferred, but training provided. Ability to incorporate feedback. Gain valuable surgical experience in a general practice environment. Work closely with veterinarians and technicians to develop advanced clinical skills. Be part of a supportive team committed to excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
- Patient Preparation :
Admit surgical patients : Review records, perform diagnostics (blood work / radiographs)
Safely restrain patients
Monitor patients post-surgery, providing safety and comfort
Clean, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments
Communicating with clients the day before, the morning of, during the procedure, at check out, and the day after the procedure
