Main Duties & Responsibilities
Summary :
TheSenior Operations Manager is fully responsible for the operations management ofMartinic Engineering in Tolleson, AZ and is directly accountable foroperational performance.
The Senior Operations Manager will oversee staff andoperations. Responsibilities include : planning, scheduling,production control, inventory management, manufacturing, production,manufacturing routers / standards / costs, process flow, shipping and receiving,shift scheduling, employee hiring and training, EHS (environmental, health, andsafety), facilities, and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Responsiblefor managing and directing production activities in a machining environment.Coordinates the production of parts, ensures machines are maintained andrunning smoothly, and manages supervisors / workers in a shop environment.
Operational responsibility for staffing, safety, delivery, productivity, andother key metrics.
Strategic and tactical leadership of operations to achieve the business goalsand initiatives
Establish and follow budgets and strategic plans to achieve division objectives
Build culture of continuous improvement via lean manufacturing, six sigma, andtheory of constraints.
Drive operational excellence and standardization.
Partner with supply chain to accelerate operational performance.
Pro-actively analyzes operational metrics, making and driving processimprovements within manufacturing
Determines business impact from the operations metrics and make recommendationsto the business unit
Accountable for driving Lean Initiatives throughout the operation to ensurethey are fully embraced and implemented.
Ensures the operation has adequate inventory, production control scheduling,and shipping / receiving logistics.
Drives a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment andeffective performance management.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications :
Minimumof 5 years of experience in the aerospace industry in a low volume, high mix,machining and assembly / test operation.
Minimumof 3 years of experience in a leadership role
Musthave strong : Metrics / results driven methodology; Personal culture of Lean andcontinuous improvement; Financial, budgeting, and strategic planning knowledgeand experience.
Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effectiveproblem solving / resolution skills and a team focus.
Musthave excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability toeffectively and persuasively present information to management, customers, andemployees.
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor’sDegree in a technical or business discipline
8years of experience in the aerospace industry in a low volume, high mix,machining and assembly / test operation.
4years of experience in a leadership role
