About The Position
Job Title : Surgical Technologist Job Specialty : Surgical Technologist Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : 10-hour shifts, 0630-1700;
includes 1 to 2 on-call shifts per week. Technologists and nurses self-schedule. Guaranteed Hours : Information not provided Experience : Information not provided License : Must be certified within 6 months after a 3-year qualification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or Surgical Technologist Certification, or hold current certification from National Center for Competency Testing Certifications : - Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Must-Have : - Completion of an approved Surgical Technician training program accredited by the Association of Surgical Technologists or On-the-Job training in a clinical healthcare setting or military specialty.
Job Description : Perform basic duties of a surgical technologist.- Assist with positioning, surgical prepping, and draping of surgical patients.
- Responsible for setting up an operating room before surgery ensuring all needed equipment and instrumentation is available and in working condition.
- Handle surgical specialties including General Surgery, Orthopedic, Otolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Podiatry, Urology, etc.
for adult and pediatric patients.- Participate in rotational scheduling and on-call (night, weekend, and holiday) coverage upon successful completion of established didactic and clinical requirements.
- COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory, and workers must be fully vaccinated 2 weeks prior to the start date. Declination is considered only for medical reasons with appropriate documentation and subject to confirmation review.
- Housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to the start date.
