The Worship Director leads the Worship Ministry in a collaborative team environment and with the highest level of commitment and leadership.

This role is integral in modeling and leading the vision of the church as a whole as carried out in through the worship experience.

Who we are looking for...

Vision Carrier :

As the Vision Carrier, you will be at the forefront of driving the vision for Cornerstone Church and its worship department.

Your role is pivotal in ensuring the continuous advancement and realization of our collective vision.

Strategic Innovator :

As the Strategy Maker, your primary responsibility is to craft innovative strategies that propel our vision forward with efficiency and effectiveness.

Your insights and initiatives will be instrumental in accelerating the growth and impact of our worship ministry.

Creative Steward and Custodian :

In the role of Creative Voice and Gatekeeper, you hold the responsibility of maintaining the stylistic integrity of our worship experience.

Your discernment and creativity ensure that our worship remains celebratory, anthemic, and relevant to our congregation, while aligning with Cornerstone's identity and values.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Leading Worship

• Lead worship on the weekends at a Cornerstone campus.
• Lead worship in additional ministries during the week as needed

Staff and Volunteer Development

• Recruit, develop, schedule and lead volunteers.
• Oversee the worship experience and develop band members for various ministries.

Service Programming

• Assist in weekly service musical programming.
• Creatively work with the Music Director to create custom song arrangements, original songs and click tracks.

An ideal candidate

• Must have 5 years experience in ministry, in a church larger than 2000 members.
• Proficient understanding of scripture
• Be musically proficient (have an understanding of basic music theory) and be able to lead vocally.
• Have the ability to coach and lead a band.
• Have the ability to create new arrangements of songs (recommended).
• Have the desire and ability to create original music (recommended).
• Be proficient in Planning Center and Pro Presenter.
• Be proficient in Ableton, Sibelius and ProTools (recommended).
• Have the ability to read lead sheets.
• Have the ability to read music (recommended).
