Senior Station Engineer - Remote

Job Overview

As a member of our Engineering Services Team, you will be responsible for creating substation drawing packages including one-line drawings, substation plan and elevation drawings, electrical assembly drawings, equipment manufacturing drawings, foundation and grounding plan drawings, conduit and cable routing plan drawings, cable schedules, bill of materials, and detailed electrical connection drawings.

A Day In The Life

Risk assessment and mitigation reviews related to the engineering and design scope deliverables for electric substations, including but not limited to :

• Substation structures and / or modifications to existing steel structures
• Below grade and above grade civil works
• Environmental review / compliance
• General arrangement and profile drawings
• Project scoping
• Grounding
• Specifications and Standards
• Safety
• QA / QC
• Substations equipment and devices

Assist as appropriate in the development of project estimates as it relates to substation design opportunities

Ability to develop and modify Substation Drawings as necessary

Mentor Engineers in the following areas :

Give general understanding of considerations of Station Design outside of Electrical portion

Develop organizational structure for us to perform complete Design for Substation work

Customer visits as necessary (Travel approximately 10% of the time)
