The Global Commerce Product Team shapes the future of the TikTok commerce platform. We aim to become an all-in-one platform, for businesses, creators and users to trust each other, to create value for each other, to inspire creativity and bring joy to each other.
Our long-term goal is to help businesses grow on our platform by enhancing our platform capability, nurturing best-in-class commercial content.
This product architect will drive technical and product vision for TikTok Shop, building scalable solutions and driving results for the future of TikTok Shop.
Responsibilities- Defining the strategy, vision and architecture for how Tiktok Shop Product supports global merchants and customers.
- Work with cross functional teams including product managers, researchers, content designers, DS, UG and engineers to contribute to high-level strategic decisions, envision and execute impactful product experiences globally.
- Communicate technology and product strategy effectively to all internal and cross-functional stakeholders.- Provide technical architectural guidance and recommendations necessary for all ecommerce product.
- Create and deliver a technology roadmap supporting the ecommerce product organization, ensuring continuity and uniformity across all internal systems.
- Lead large scale projects from 0-1, managing uncertainty and ambiguity, ensuring we're shipping meaningful and quality experiences.
- Lead and design complex and large scale technical solutions for ecommerce initiatives for Sellers, Creators, Governance and Policy, etc product teams.
- Regularly give and receive feedback on product architectural designs and strategic product decisions.- Act as a mentor and leader across the product team.
Minimum Qualifications - A minimum of 5 years' experience in software engineering.- A minimum of 5 years' experience in product management.
- Deep understanding of current best practices and trends in software architecture and data infrastructure.- Previous experience with writing high performance code for Frontend and Backend (JavaScript, React, Golang, Python, - Strong understanding of end-to-end ecommerce ecosystem.
- Great communication skills to be able to articulate your concepts, vision and decision-making.- Experience working with multiple stakeholders across the org.
- Ability to rapidly iterate and produce multiple product improvement suggestions.- Experience with a / b testing and data driven practice.
- Results oriented and resilient. Ability to function within a startup culture which celebrates efficiency and driving impact.
- A passion and enthusiasm for TikTok and its community. Preferred Qualifications - Have had leadership experience supporting multiple businesses and product verticals- Have global working experience and can drive projects and build influence in a global environment.
