Description
POSITIONSUMMARY : Responsible for performing all tasksnecessary to increase physician efficiency and improve patientexperience.
This includes being the primary contact at thedepartment for the patient for any questions of either a clinicalor administrative nature (coordinating clinical calls with thephysician), as well as coordinating the physician’s schedule,answering telephone calls, returning messages, and schedulingfollow up tests and referrals for patients.
This position requiresan excellent working relationship with the physician and theability to treat patients with respect, privacy and kindness at alltimes, even in times ofstress.

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION : High schooldiploma or equivalent, medical terminology preferred.
CERTIFICATION / LICENSES : N / A
SKILLS :
- Computer knowledge,experience with Windows environment specifically Microsoft OfficeWord and Excel
- Keyboarding skills and theability to operate general office equipment skillsrequired
- Ability to read and write inEnglish
- Bilingual in Spanishpreferred.
EXPERIENCE : Preferredthree years’ experience in related health care field and / or MedicalAssistant Certification.
