Job Description :

At L3Harris Tactical Communications, you will have the opportunity to research, plan, organize, write, and edit operations, maintenance, and software manuals among other documentation. Our witty, collaborative writing team is responsible for developing topic-based, modular product support content that allows for dynamic publishing in a timely and effective manner.

We’re looking for someone with a passion for technology, a knack for research and analysis, interest in project management, and the ability to develop relationships with subject-matter experts.

Essential Functions :

• Write technical documents for tactical communication products for effective end-user operation, programming, maintenance, installation, and testing
• Collaborate with engineers, product analysts, product line managers, and program managers to learn about specific products, processes, and programs
• Performs research as required to understand products or associated technology
• Manage writing projects : hosts kickoff and status meetings, sets timelines and deadlines, communicate with project team
• Work with illustrator to create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to assist users in understanding a product or process
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to develop personal skills, team and process effectiveness, and product enhancement

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $50,000- $100,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
