Job Title : RN Telemetry I Job Specialty : RN Telemetry I Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 03 : 00 PM-11 : 00 PM Guaranteed Hours : 32 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years in acute care hospital setting License : Active RN License Certifications : BLS Must-Have : Two years of acute care experience, proficiency in telemetry monitoring, and experience with cardiac drips and reading tele strips.
Job Description : - Be part of the Float Pool and work across 8 different units.- Monitor cardiac patients and administer cardiac drips.
- Interpret telemetry strips every 4 hours and measure intervals.- Work with TR Band.- Provide care for a patient ratio of up to 5 : 1 during days and evenings, and up to 6 : 1 at night.
- Serve various patient populations, including emergency department border patients, as a medication nurse in an acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented patients who are ready for ICU transfer.
- Utilize systems such as EPIC, Omnicell, and Kronos for electronic medical records and other administrative tasks.- Work in units ranging from 8 to 41 beds with a total bed count of 371.
