We are hiring! AtkinsRéalis seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our New York City, NY office as a Senior Structural Engineer.
This position is a perfect match for a Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in New York who is eager to take on stimulating and high-profile projects.
Here, you will leverage your extensive experience to address both standard and complex engineering challenges, maintaining our commitment to ethical engineering practices and contributing to our esteemed consultancy.
How will you contribute to the team?
- Lead and innovate in the design of landmark, challenging projects, inspiring junior engineers, CAD designers, or technicians.
- Oversee the production of complex engineering drawings and specifications for high-profile projects.
- Strategize and develop unique solutions for groundbreaking projects, optimizing for technical feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
- Address and solve intricate technical challenges, pioneering new techniques and alternative solutions.
- Plan and manage project dimensions, including scope, cost, manpower estimates, schedules, and budgets, for significant infrastructure projects.
- Uphold the highest standards of quality control in all engineering outputs.
- Mentor and guide junior professionals and technical personnel in the design and drafting of preliminary and final plans for landmark projects.
- Occasionally lead project management tasks, contributing to our legacy of remarkable infrastructure development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills allowing for effective communication in multidisciplinary project teams involving representatives from the client, various departments / offices within AtkinsRéalis, and other consultants and contractors.
What will you contribute?
- B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, with graduate-level technical coursework preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience post-Bachelor's or 6 years post-Master's.
- Current New York PE license or eligibility to obtain one within 1 year.
- Prior experience in MTA, Transit, building structures, or related fields is beneficial.
- Expertise in steel and concrete framing design, especially for transit station structures and other significant projects.
- Experience with Bentley's Openbuildings Designer is a plus.

Expected compensation range is between $125,000 - $180,000 USD Annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
