The Controller will be responsible for the overall day-to-day Accounting / Financial management /
We are seeking a hands-on, well-qualified and highly motivated individual to oversee our Accounting department. This position requires strong technical accounting background and a strong foundation in best practices and staff development.
Essential Duties, Functions & Responsibilities
- Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Prepares periodic interim financial statements and presentations to Board Committees and the Board of Directors
- Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
- Exercises confidentiality in the execution of day-to-day operations.
- Collaborate and Supervise existing Accounting staff
- Assists with GL, FS, Cash Flow monitoring / integrity, work with grants and monitor project budgets with project leaders, and ensure that projects are managed in compliance with funding guidelines
- Works closely with management to update, manage, and develop new ideas, processes, policies and practices for more efficient and smoother operations
Ideal Experience :
- Several years of Accounting experience at a Controller or similar level
- Non-Profit, Grant of Fund experience is a Plus
- Bachelor's Degree
