They are currently seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to join their dynamic team and support their mission.
Position Overview : Our Client is looking for a Legal Counsel with 3-7 years of experience to provide comprehensive legal support across various functions, including M&A, business development, operations, human resources, procurement, and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial law, litigation, and the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities :
M&A and Business Development :
- Provide legal guidance on mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
- Support negotiations and drafting of transaction documents.
Operations and Regulatory Compliance :
- Advise on regulatory requirements and compliance matters impacting the organization.
- Support HR-related legal matters, including employment agreements and policies.
Procurement and Technology Licensing :
- Draft, review, and negotiate procurement contracts and technology licensing agreements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with procurement policies.
Commercial Agreements :
- Draft and negotiate various commercial agreements, including non-disclosure agreements, guarantees, retail power agreements, and emission offset / performance credit purchase and sale agreements.
- Ensure all agreements align with company policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications :
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- 3-7 years of experience in corporate law, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
- Strong understanding of M&A, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Admitted to practice law
