The IU Health Cancer Radiation Center at Indiana University Health has an opening for a Medical Physicist position in Bloomington, Indiana.

This is a full-time position and will cover clinics in Bloomington and surrounding communities. Join a collaborative and supportive team providing excellence in treatment to cancer patients with the latest cancer fighting technologies and leading cancer specialists.

Job Details :

• Provide therapeutic radiation to outpatient cancer patients
• The successful candidate is expected to perform clinical service, participate in quality improvement & research, participate in the teaching of students, and demonstrate a commitment to diversity and underrepresented or minority groups.
• Schedule Monday-Friday 8 am- 4 : 30 pm

Job Requirements :

• Requires a Masters or PhD in medical physics.
• Must be board certified by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiological Physics or a board eligible resident in / or graduating from CAMPEP accredited Radiation Oncology residency programs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

and Regional Academic Health Center is a not-for-profit organization and has a patient base of 413,000 in 10 counties (Brown, Daviess, Greene, Jackson, Lawrence, Martin, Monroe, Morgan, Orange, and Owen).

The new facility opened in December 2021 and uses an acuity-adaptable model of care to minimize unnecessary patient transportation between units.

In addition, the hospital offers a personalized approach to inpatient services (including intensive care, complex surgeries and comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services), outpatient services with leading-edge diagnostic testing, flexible space in the emergency department for post-care observation, a dedicated trauma center and a cancer infusion center.
