Job Title : Full-Time School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or SLPA
A school in Damascus, GA is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for the upcoming academic year.
The selected candidate may be required to supervise an SLPA. The therapist will evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Additionally, they will work closely with families and caregivers to manage communication disorders. The caseload will primarily consist of PreK to elementary-aged students across multiple buildings within the district.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct assessments and diagnose communication disorders.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for students.
- Provide supervision and guidance to SLPA as needed.
- Educate students, families, and caregivers on speech disorders and treatment strategies.
- Maintain detailed records of assessments, treatments, and progress.
Experience :
- Previous experience as an SLP or SLPA is required.
- Experience providing supervision to SLPA is preferred.
Education :
1. Must have a masters degree in Speech Language Pathology (for SLP).
2. SLPA candidates must meet state requirements for licensure.
3. Full accreditation (CCC) preferred for SLP.
