Key Qualifications :
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state.
- Certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Prior experience in a school setting is a plus.
- Familiarity with state and local regulations pertaining to school-based speech-language therapy.
Responsibilities :
- Perform comprehensive evaluations and assessments to diagnose speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide direct therapy services aimed at improving students' communication abilities.
- Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational and communication goals.
- Keep thorough records of assessments, therapy sessions, and student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and other interdisciplinary team discussions.
