Position : Special Education Teacher
Location : Fully Remote, Serving Schools in New Mexico
Employment Type : Full-Time
About the Role :
Are you passionate about supporting students with special needs? We are looking for a dynamic Special Education Teacher to join our team remotely, working with students across New Mexico.
Your role will be critical in developing individualized education programs (IEPs) and delivering engaging lessons that cater to each student's unique needs.
Key Responsibilities :
- IEP Development : Create and implement Individualized Education Programs tailored to the needs of each student.
- Instructional Delivery : Teach and engage students in a virtual environment, ensuring lessons are accessible and effective for all learners.
- Progress Tracking : Regularly assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
- Collaborative Teamwork : Work closely with general education teachers, parents, and other service providers to support student success.
- Parent Communication : Maintain open and regular communication with parents, providing updates on their childs progress and strategies to support learning at home.
Qualifications :
- Education : Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a closely related field.
- Certification : Valid New Mexico teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
- Experience : A minimum of three years in a special education role, preferably with experience in a virtual teaching setting.
- Skills : Strong digital literacy, effective communication, and a deep understanding of special education best practices.
- Personal Attributes : Patient, adaptable, and committed to fostering an inclusive educational environment.
