Pay range : $20.00 $26.00 per hour.

Schroeder Moving Systems is seeking full and part-time Non CDL drivers for our local and regional fleets.

Position Summary

This is a full touch driver position. The driver is responsible for driving the vehicle in a safe and efficient manner from warehouse to job site where driver acts as crew leader and mover in the loading and unloading of household goods or as needed for special products delivery and pickup.

The driver works hand-in-hand with our customers to provide professional services. Our goal is to make the physical relocation of our customers' goods the easiest part of their move and / or shipping.

Essential Job Functions

Operates moving & delivery vehicles. Oversees and assists with packing / unpacking, moving, and loading / unloading of items to / from vehicle at the move site and / or loading area.

Prepares and updates all required paperwork associated with moves and shipments. Able to work irregular hours as needed.

Provides leadership to movers on job sites. Be on time. Operate safely. Smile and have fun. Hustle Knowledge of map / GPS use.

Accountable for material and equipment. Cleans and inspects trucks, tools, and equipment according to company standards.

All other tasks as assigned.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS :

Must be able to communicate efficiently and effectively to both co-workers and customers alike.

Listen and take instructions with regards to customer service.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS :

Add, subtract, multiply, and divide using both whole numbers and decimal points.

REASONING SKILLS :

Ability to solve everyday problems, always looking for the best right answer.

A bility to interpret / understand / explain a variety of instructions. These instructions can / will come in multiple forms (written, oral, schedule, diagram).

Physical Demands and Abilities

Regularly lift and / or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally lift and / or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.

Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.

Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending on the season.

General Requirements & Expectations :

Execution and adherence to Unigroup agency compliance and policy guidelines.

All employees must pass a background check upon being hired.

All employees will be put into our random drug testing program during their tenure at Schroeder Moving Systems.

Need to have the strength and stamina to repeatedly lift and move at least 75 lbs. throughout each day.

Good work ethic and a positive, professional attitude.

High-school diploma or GED.

Communication skills to engage professionally both verbally and in-writing in English.

Minimum of 21 years old.
