Location Department : Porter Hills Village Dining Services
Shifts : 4 : 00 pm-8 : 00 pm S chedule : Approx. 12 hours / week, Days vary every other weekend and holiday rotation
Overview
The Dietary Aide / Server provides exceptional customer service and brightens the day of older adults through positive interactions.
What you’ll do
- Serve meals to residents with a smile and a friendly demeanor
- Take and ensure accuracy of orders
- Cater to special dietary requirements and restrictions (i.e. ground or pureed diets)
- Watch tickets and run a tray line
- Clear tables and maintain a clean and organized dining area
What it takes
- Must be a minimum of 16 years of age
- Prior experience as a waiter / waitress or server in a restaurant, nursing home, or retirement community serving older adults is helpful, but not required
- Ability to participate in frequent stooping and bending, lifting up to fifty (50) pounds
