Front Office Administrative Assistant (Medical Background)
Kelly Services is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Front Office Administrative Assistant to join our medical practice.
The Front Office Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to the front desk staff and ensuring a positive experience for patients and visitors.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities :
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner, and direct them to the appropriate areas.
- Answer phone calls and inquiries, and provide information or assistance as needed.
- Schedule patient appointments, confirm appointments, and manage appointment calendars.
- Register new patients, collect and verify demographic and insurance information, and update patient records accurately.
- Verify insurance coverage, obtain pre-authorizations, and process insurance claims as necessary.
- Assist patients with completing medical forms and consent documents.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, collect payments, and issue receipts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely communication of patient needs.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, copying, and faxing documents.
- Order and maintain office and medical supplies, and ensure equipment is in working order.
- Follow established protocols for handling confidential patient information and maintaining patient privacy.
- Collaborate with other administrative staff to support the overall operation of the medical practice.
Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in medical office administration is preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare office setting is required.
- Coding and billing experience required
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, staff, and providers.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
- Willingness to adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing processes is a plus.
Location : Fort Worth
Hours : M-Thurs, 8am-2pm
Pay : $20-23hr
