Soliant Health, a leading healthcare staffing company, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a school district in Reno, NV.

This is a full-time position for the upcoming school year, providing an excellent opportunity to support students' communication needs and contribute to their educational success.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in conducting speech and language screenings and assessments
  • Implement therapeutic interventions and treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions under the guidance of the SLP
  • Support students' progress by providing appropriate materials, resources, and strategies
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students
  • Document and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and other required paperwork

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field
  • Valid SLPA license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Nevada
  • Previous experience working as an SLPA or in a related role preferred
  • Knowledge of speech and language disorders and familiarity with intervention techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the unique needs of students
