Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Storage Engineer / Administrator to join our team in the DMV area.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
The Storage Engineer / Administrator assists in designing, implementing, and maintaining data storage systems to ensure the efficient and reliable storage of data, including both structured and unstructured data.
They support the monitoring and optimization of the performance of storage systems to improve efficient data access and retrieval.
Working with more senior staff, they assist in implementing data protection mechanisms to ensure data availability and integrity, including defining backup policies, scheduling backups, and conducting regular data recovery tests.
They support the assessment of storage capacity requirements based on data growth projections and needs. They work under the direction of Senior Engineers / Administrators.
They collaborate and share work with other Storage Engineer / Administrators .
Basic Qualifications :
High School and 4 years of additional experience or Associate's Degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required Bachelor's degree
A candidate holding a relevant Master’s degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for that extra education. A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years’ experience credit for that extra education.
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). DoD 8570.01-2 years of position-specific relevant experience.
DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level II Certification within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order. Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications :
Working knowledge of various vendor storage management applications, such as NetApp, NOM, and OCI. Strong working knowledge in basic storage fundamentals with an understanding of major networking concepts.
Experience with the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF), MySQL, Oracle, MSSQL, Java, Perl, Ruby, C#, and / or PHP. Relevant industry standard certifications.
Clearance Requirements :
Must be a US Citizen
Must have an active TS / SCI
Physical Requirements :
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
For all positions requiring access to technology / software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.
S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license. The applicant will be required to answer certain questions for export control purposes, and that information will be reviewed by compliance personnel to ensure compliance with federal law.
